Superintendent's Message

Welcome to the Plymouth-Shiloh Local Schools. As many of you know I grew up in the Plymouth-Shiloh District and graduated from PHS in 1976. I consider it an honor and a privilege to serve as the Superintendent of the Plymouth-Shiloh Local School District (PSLSD). My pledge to all of our students, parents, staff and community members is that all decisions made will be based on what is best for our students while being fiscally responsible to the citizens of our district. After serving the PSLSD the past thirty-two years as a teacher, coach, and principal I am looking forward to the challenge of my new position to do everything possible to provide each student with the best educational and co-curricular opportunities.

I want to assure our parents and community members that our staff will work their hardest to be a positive influence in our student’s lives. Delivering on the promise of excellence and opportunity for each student is a responsibility, challenge, and opportunity we will never take lightly. Everyone associated with the Plymouth-Shiloh Schools will be determined to provide excellent instruction leading to meaningful achievement and growth for each student.

The PSLSD is supported through a deep sense of community pride, traditions, and teamwork that help our schools strive for excellence. When decisions are made based on what is best for our students our successes will continue to be unlimited. I encourage you to check these sites frequently.

    Athletic News!Big Red Recap:The MS Track and Field teams wrapped up their season on Tuesday night in the conference championship meet held at Mapleton. The girls came away with a 6th place team finish while the boys took 4th place. Leading the way for the girls was Anna Caughenbaugh as she came home a conference champion in the 200 m hurdles while also taking 2nd place in the 100 m dash. Liberty Lewis took home two 3rd place finishes in both the shot put and discus throw. The girls 4x100 m relay team took 2nd while the 4x200 took 5th to round out the scoring for the girls. For the boys, Izaya Reynolds is a two event conference champion as he won both the 200 and 400 m dashes while Gabe Cole also came home a champion in the 100 m dash. Dasean Winfield also scored by taking 4th in the high jump. The boys 4x200 m relay team added to the list of 1st place finishes while the 4x400 took 4th and the 4x800 took 5th. Congratulations to all of our MS track and field athletes on a great season!The baseball and softball teams were also back in action on Tuesday night as they traveled to Western Reserve. The baseball team successfully completed the two game sweep of the Roughriders with a 7-5 win as they improve to 8-12 overall and 6-7 in league play. They will be back in action tomorrow night rounding out the conference schedule by hosting Monroeville. The softball team dropped another tough game to the Roughriders this time by a score of 12-8 as they end the regular season with a 2-20 overall record and 1-11 in league play.
