NOTICE TO BIDDERS

Sealed bids will be received by the Plymouth-Shiloh Board of Education at the Plymouth-Shiloh District Office Building, 365 Sandusky Street, Plymouth, Ohio, until

10:00 a.m., local time on August 25, 2023,

and publicly opened immediately thereafter for furnishing the necessary labor and materials, tools, machinery and appliances required for: A New Bus Garage for the Plymouth-Shiloh School District, to be located at: 400 Trux Street, Plymouth, Ohio 44865.

Bid documents are on file in the satellite office of Alexander Associates Architects, 2660 US HWY 224, Suite #2, New Haven Ohio 44850. Contact Cherell Levenchuck, Project Manager, for any project questions. cherell@alexanderarchitects.com, 419-512-4260.

Hard copies of said drawings are available, by prime bidders from: RB Print Shop, 165 N. Trimble Rd., Mansfield, OH 44906, 419-524-2781. Electronic Drawings available from RB Print Shop (info@rbprintshop.com) or (cherell@alexanderarchitects.com). Documents will be forwarded at bidder’s expense.

Estimated construction cost: $865,000.00

Bids for the above-described work must be made on the proposal form that is included with the bid documents. Bids must be addressed to: Plymouth-Shiloh Board of Education, 365 Sandusky Street, Plymouth, Ohio 44865, and endorsed on the outside of a sealed envelope with indication of items of work bid upon. Electronic bids will not be accepted.

Each bid must contain the full name of every person or company interested in the same, shall state the price for labor and materials, and must be accompanied by a BID GUARANTY meeting the requirements of Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code, or acceptable alternative.

This is a tax exempt project. Prevailing Wage Rates published by the State of Ohio’s Department of Industrial Relations are to be complied with throughout this project, and Equal Employment Opportunity requirements which are applicable to this type of public project shall be upheld. Note that Bid Bond and Performance Bond will be required.

Bidders may not withdraw their bid within sixty (60) days after the date of opening.

If, in the opinion of the Owner, the acceptance of the lowest bid is not in the best interest of all concerned, the Owner may accept another proposal so opened, or reject all proposals and advertise for other bids. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids.

There will not be a scheduled pre-bid meeting. Bidders shall visit the site to become familiar with existing conditions prior to submitting their bid.
