Preschool Information
Overview
Plymouth Shiloh Local School District currently has one preschool classroom located in the Plymouth Elementary Building. It is the goal of the Little Vikings Preschool to provide each student with the opportunity to develop to his/her greatest potential in all areas of learning and growth. The preschool provides a developmentally appropriate instruction with a mixture of individual and group activities which encourage each child to actively explore their environment.
Times
The preschool is in session Monday through Thursday with an AM and a PM session. The AM session goes from 7:45 AM to 10:40 AM. The PM session goes from 11:45 AM to 2:25 PM.
Transportation
Bussing is provided from a central location in Shiloh and in Plymouth. Families will receive more information regarding bussing at the scheduled screening for their student.
Tuition
Tuition is charged on a sliding fee schedule with a maximum payment of $100.00 per month. Families must provide evidence of income in order to have a reduction in tuition. Tuition will be calculated after the proof of income is provided. Students with an Individualized Education Plan will not be charged tuition.
Enrollment
The enrollment application is available on the district website and must be completed on the website. Students will be accepted on a first come basis. Please note that there is not a guarantee that the preferred enrollment request will be able to be honored. At this time, the district is not accepting out of district students. In order to apply, students must be 3 prior to August 1st and cannot be age 5 prior to August 1st. All students must be potty trained before starting preschool unless the student is identified with special needs through the multifactored evaluation process. Four year olds will also be prioritized. Families will need to provide a copy of their child's birth certificate, immunization record, proof of residency and custody papers, if they apply. Students must provide documentation of a medical exam no later than 30 days following the beginning of preschool. Dental exams are also strongly recommended.
Screening
Following the application process, families will be contacted with a date to bring their student to the elementary school for a developmentally appropriate screening.
Child Find
If at any time, a family suspects a student may have a disability, the family may call Toni Zehe, Preschool Coordinator, at 419.687.8200 in order to schedule a screening for the student. Students do not have to be potty trained to be screened.
Kindergarten Registration/Admission
Any child who will be 5 years of age on or before August 1, 2024 is eligible to enroll in Kindergarten.
Registration for all upcoming Kindergarten students for the 2024-2025 school year will take place during the week of March 11-15, 2024 at the Plymouth-Shiloh Elementary building between 9:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.
Students do not need to accompany their parent at this time, but may if they wish. Screening appointments will be made at registration. Screening appointments will be made at registration.
Please bring all paperwork at the time of registration. Registration may not take place if the required paperwork is not brought in.

An up-to-date Immunization Record: The State of Ohio requires the following immunizations to attend school:
DTAP/DTP/DT
Tdap/Td
Kindergarten: 4 or more doses of DTaP or DT, or any combination. If all 4 doses were given before the 4th birthday, a fifth (5) dose is required.
Polio - K-8: 3-4 doses (final dose must be on or after 4th birthday)
MMR - K-12: 2 doses
Varicella - K-6: 2 doses
Hepatitis B - K-12: 3 doses
Parents will be required to fill out FinalForms for their student(s).
