Elementary Principal's Message
Dear Plymouth-Shiloh Elementary families,
I am thrilled to welcome you to the 2023-2024 school year. I love the Plymouth-Shiloh School District. I’m proud that we take the education of our students very seriously and strive to provide the best education possible. The year is looking promising as we continue some great initiatives that have been in place in recent years. We will continue our work with the PBIS program. Our teachers love to encourage positive behavior with fun reinforcements throughout the year. This will be the last year of our Comprehensive Literacy State Development grant. This grant has brought us a wealth of information from experts at Mid-Ohio ESC. We will also continue using Heggerty and Orton-Gillingham to support and improve the reading skills of our students.
Your child’s teacher will have very important information to share with you at the beginning of this school year. Please make sure you take the time to review it so that your child is set up for success, from the beginning. I encourage you to work hand in hand with your child’s teacher to support your child and the learning that will take place throughout the year. You can read the student handbook at the Elementary School page on the website. Go in and update/complete Final Forms. We take your child’s health and safety very seriously and want to ensure that we have the most up to date information at all times. Also, go in and complete the Free and Reduced lunch application, if applicable, that is available at the school website, under Parent Resources.
The Plymouth-Shiloh community is very supportive of our students and staff. As we improve the home, school and community connection, we can raise strong children and leaders of tomorrow. I encourage you to find out more about how you can get involved at school. Our PTO is always looking for new members. Our teachers also love having helpers throughout the year. Please talk to your child’s teacher if you might be interested in helping.
I am looking forward to a wonderful year. Go Big Red!
