Superintendent's Message

Welcome to the Plymouth-Shiloh Local Schools. As many of you know I grew up in the Plymouth-Shiloh District and graduated from PHS in 1976. I consider it an honor and a privilege to serve as the Superintendent of the Plymouth-Shiloh Local School District (PSLSD). My pledge to all of our students, parents, staff and community members is that all decisions made will be based on what is best for our students while being fiscally responsible to the citizens of our district. After serving the PSLSD the past thirty-two years as a teacher, coach, and principal I am looking forward to the challenge of my new position to do everything possible to provide each student with the best educational and co-curricular opportunities.

I want to assure our parents and community members that our staff will work their hardest to be a positive influence in our student’s lives. Delivering on the promise of excellence and opportunity for each student is a responsibility, challenge, and opportunity we will never take lightly. Everyone associated with the Plymouth-Shiloh Schools will be determined to provide excellent instruction leading to meaningful achievement and growth for each student.

The PSLSD is supported through a deep sense of community pride, traditions, and teamwork that help our schools strive for excellence. When decisions are made based on what is best for our students our successes will continue to be unlimited. I encourage you to check these sites frequently.

    Athletic News!Big Red Recap:The Big Red baseball and softball teams both hosted St. Paul on Wednesday night in firelands conference action. The softball team suffered another tough loss 8-3 Flyers as they drop to 1-13 overall and 0-8 in conference play. The JV softball team also saw some action following the varsity game and also lost to the Flyers. Both teams will be right back in action tonight at St. Paul. Seven innings was not enough for the baseball team as they were knotted in a 4-4 tie with the Flyers and the score remained 4-4 after 8 innings when the game was called for darkness headed into the 9th inning. No date or time has been decided on yet for the completion of the game. The Big Red will be right back at it today at home taking on South Central in another big FC matchup.The MS Track and Field teams were also in action last night as they traveled to Crestview to take part in the annual John Murray MS invite. The girls finished in 5th place as a team while the boys took 6th out of 8 teams. Anna Caughenbaugh led the way for the girls with an outstanding individual performance as she took 1st place in both the 100 m dash and 200 m hurdles. Liberty Lewis also added individual points for the girls as she took 6th place in both the shot put and discus throw. The girls 4x100 m relay team also scored by taking 5th place. For the boys, Izaya Reynolds was the leading scorer as he took 1st in the 400 m dash and 2nd in the 200 m dash. Jackson Fidler took 3rd in the high jump followed right behind by Dasean Winfield in 4th. Gabe Cole took 3rd in the long jump and 5th in the 100 m dash while Karson Flickinger followed Gabe in the 100 with a 6th place finish. The boys 4x200 relay took 3rd while the 4x100 relay team took 4th to round out the scoring. They will all be off until next Thursday when they travel to the Crestline Checker's Invitational. ...     Big Red Family!Over the past few months, 28 Plymouth-Shiloh staff members completed a CPR course that was provided by Richland Public Health.
