Here is some information in regards to Minor Work Permits:
In Ohio, minors aged 14 through 17 must obtain a work permit to be employed. The process requires a job offer, a completed Application for Minor Work Permit, parent/guardian signature, a physician's certification (physical), and employer information. The completed form must be submitted to the school district, which issues the permit.
Please contact the Plymouth High School office and speak with Megan Bard in regards to setting up a time to apply for the work permit.
Steps to Obtain an Ohio Work Permit
1. Find a Job: You must have a job offer first.
2. Download the Form: Obtain the "Application for Minor Work Permit" (PDF) from the Ohio Department of Commerce or your school's high school office.
3. Fill Out Student/Parent Section: Complete your information and have a parent or guardian sign it.
4. Employer Section: Have the employer complete the "Pledge of Employer" section.
5. Physician's Certificate: A doctor must complete the Physician's Certificate on the second page of the form. A physical from the past year (e.g., for school sports) can often be used.
6. Submit to School: Submit the completed form to your school district’s authorized officer (Megan Bard) for final approval and issuance of the permit.

Big Red Weekend Recap:
It was a busy weekend for our Big Red spring teams as all of our HS teams were in action over the weekend. The wet and rainy weather on Friday afternoon/evening impacted games on Friday as the JV baseball game had to be cancelled while the varsity softball team's opening game of the MVD Invite also was called before the first pitch. On Saturday morning, the Lady Big Red returned to Ontario for two games in the annual MVD Invite at Marshall Park and it was a rough go of it as the Lady Big Red lost to Colonel Crawford 19-3 and then fell to Loudonville 16-4. The losses drop them to 1-7 overall on the season and they will return to conference play tonight at New London.
The varsity and JV baseball teams hosted Chippewa on Saturday for a varsity/JV DH as the JV was finally able to get on the field for the first time this season. Both games were all Chippewa as the varsity struggled to get anything going against the Chipps and had a rough day defensively as they lost 13-1 before the JV lost by a 17-0 final score. The varsity drops to 3-4 overall on the season and will return to conference play today at New London.
