Vacation Request Reminder - We love that families take trips! Trips make amazing memories. If you anticipate taking a trip during the school year we have a Vacation Request form that can be requested. It needs to be completed BEFORE your trip so that excused and unexcused hours can be considered and noted. If you let us know during or after a trip, the absence is unexcused. All hours of absence are considered in accordance with the State of Ohio attendance laws.

The Plymouth-Shiloh Local District is a rural school located in Richland and Huron Counties. Located 20 miles north of Mansfield, the District serves 640 students PreK-12. The High School and Elementary Schools are located on State Route 603, east of Plymouth.
Position: Elementary - First Grade Teacher, Long-Term Substitute
Beginning October 19, 2026
Qualifications: Valid Ohio Teaching License
Posting Date: September 17, 2026
Duties Performed: A successful candidate shall be able to utilize a variety of teaching methods and be able to maintain an instructional atmosphere that fosters and stimulates academic excellence. The successful candidate shall be a positive role model both professionally and personally. The successful candidate must be willing to contribute positively to a team atmosphere.

Big Red Recap:
The MS Volleyball teams returned to action on Wednesday night hosting Western Reserve in conference action. It was a tough night for the Lady Big Red as both teams fell in 2 straight sets to the Roughriders. Both teams will be back in action on Monday when they travel to South Central.
The golf team was also in action as they hosted their final regular season conference dual match of the season with Western Reserve. It was another tough night on the links for the Big Red as they shot a team score of 192 and lost by two strokes. Parker Miller led the way for the Big Red with a 46 while Gus Sutter followed with a 47. Carson Lewis added a 49 and Trevor Putt added a 52 to round out the scoring for the Big Red. They are back in action today at the firelands conference tournament at Millstone Hills in New London.

The 6th graders practiced greatest common factor, the distributive property, and least common multiple in a virtual escape room. Congratulations to all of the students who escaped from Mars. 🤩

A couple of second grade students earned the reward of helping Mr. Tucker. They were extremely helpful and took great pride in a job well done today.

The freshman and JV teams both forced a 3rd set in each game before falling in 3 sets before the varsity got swept and fell to the Cougars in 3 straight sets. All 3 teams will be back in action on Thursday at Western Reserve.

COOPERATIVE YOUTH DAY TO COLUMBUS – OCTOBER 22
Firelands Electric will be selecting up to 25 high school students to participate in its fourth annual Cooperative Youth Day to our state’s capital. This FREE, all-day chartered bus trip to the Ohio Statehouse in Columbus will take place on Thursday, October 22. Participants will explore Ohio's government, history, and politics with opportunities to tour the Statehouse, meet with legislators, and much more.
Students DO NOT need to be co-op members to apply – they simply need to be in grades 9-12. Our short online application is due September 23 and can be accessed by visiting www.firelandsec.com/cooperative-youth-day.
