The 2nd graders made Positive Pumpkins as a closing project for their Little Spot of Emotions Unit. Since the Little Spot of Confidence is orange, he is often confused with a pumpkin. He doesn’t want people to compare him to a scary Jack-o’-lantern, so he decides to make a new tradition of writing positive messages on pumpkins. His hope is to build confidence in everyone who sees them. Mrs. Montgomery’s Guidance Classes were happy to help the Little Spot of Confidence spread this positivity by making their own Positive Pumpkins.

Big Red Weekend Recap:
The fall sports season officially came to a close over the weekend as the Big Red football and cross country teams completed their seasons. The football team traveled to South Central on Friday night and lost a tough game to the Trojans by a 29-14 final score. The Big Red fell behind 16-0 early in the game before battling back to make it 16-8 at halftime. It was a back and forth and chippy 2nd half as the teams would trade scores en route to the 29-14 final score as the Big Red end the tough season with a 2-8 overall record.
Morgan Follet represented the cross country program on Saturday at the division 3 regional meet in Tiffin and finished in 68th place seeing her outstanding junior season come to an end. We are proud of Morgan for another outstanding season and how she represented the Big Red.

"Every year on October 27th, World Occupational Therapy Day promotes the mission and goals of occupational therapy. The day also increases awareness of occupational therapists and their global impact.
Occupational therapists provide treatment to injured or disabled patients. They also work with children who have special needs or need help in acquiring certain skills. Occupational therapists make recommendations on types of equipment and home modifications necessary for seniors or those with disabilities." - nationaldaycalendar.com
