Big Red Family!
Thank You!!
The athletic department and cross country program would like to thank everyone who volunteered their time last night to help with our annual home invite. The cross country program had a great showing from its alumni and former runners as well as families of current runners in the program and we could not conduct a meet like that without everyone's support and help. Also a thank you to our maintenance department here at the school for their help with preparing the course and supporting the meet. Thank you to all who helped in any way shape or form and for your continued support of Big Red athletics!

Big Red Weekend Recap:
It was a big weekend for the Big Red as the football and cross country teams both officially got their regular seasons underway. It all started on Friday night as the Big Red hosted Oberlin in week 1 season opening action and dominated the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball en route to a 31-0 shutout win over the Phoenix. After a few miscues early in the game the Big Red offense settled in and went on a long scoring drive towards the end of the 1st quarter capped off by their first TD of the season on a Lincoln Distl to Ethan Keefe TD pass to make the score 7-0. They would add another TD late in the 2nd quarter to make the score 14-0 at the half. The defense played key in the 2nd half as a 3rd quarter safety would make it 16-0 and another forced turnover would help the Big Red pull away late in the game. They would add two more 4th quarter TD's and found themselves in victory formation with under a minute left in the game. The 1-0 Big Red now turn their sites on Willard and will travel to take on the Flashes on Friday night this week.
The Cross Country teams opened up their seasons on Saturday at Seneca East in the annual Tiger Invite. The HS girls finished in 11th place while the HS boys finished in 19th place as a team. Morgan Follett led the way for the girls notching a top 10 finish in 10th place in a time of 21:22. Audrey Smith (65th), Aly Lewis (87th), Kristi Yeager (90th), and Anna Caughenbaugh (105th) rounded out the scoring for the Big Red. Colton Sundstrom led the way for the boys with an 81st place finish in a time of 19:48. Dallas Thompson (106th), Zach Miller (136th), Luke Kelbley (180th), and Jack Kelbley (184th) rounded it out for the boys. Weston Smith also added a top 10 finish in 9th place for the MS boys while Carter Jester and Gabe Tackett followed. Ari Miller represented the MS girls with a 59th place finish. They will all be back in action tomorrow hosting the annual Plymouth Bob James Invite.
