Business Advisory Council Joint Statement 2024-2025
Each business advisory council and its school board shall file a joint statement, not later than the first day of March of each school year, describing how the school district or service center and its business advisory council has fulfilled their responsibilities pursuant to this section and section 3313.82 of the Revised Code.

1. Are there any changes to your Business Advisory Councils’ structure or leadership since you submitted your plan for this academic year? If yes please provide details.
○ We have accomplished the goal of securing a business leader chair for our BAC. The new chair, Traci Oswald from Ohio Mutual Insurance Company, will be introduced during the February BAC meeting. We continue to add business partners that represent the Top Jobs in our region.
2. Of goals submitted in your 2025 Business Advisory Council Plan, on a scale of 1-10 with 10 being goals accomplished. What goals were you able to accomplish?
○ Educator Bootcamps-10;taking place in summer 2025 in 3 counties: Richland, Morrow and Crawford.
○ Business Expert Advisors-10; ongoing: best practice advisors present at each meeting
○ Business Chair Selection-10; complete (see question 1)
○ Cooperative Partnership Endeavors-10; BAC schools are participating
○ Action Teams-10; in place and providing activities at each county
○ Pre-Apprenticeship-10-in place and providing activities for students
○ TurboCert-10-in place and providing activities for students in Crawford County
○ SLP Internship Program-10; in place and providing activities for students in each county
○ What challenges have you experienced implementing your goals?
The Business Advisory Council facilitation is an unfunded position, and as such we rely heavily on volunteers and partnerships to execute our plans.
3. What new partnerships have your Business Advisory Council formed for the SY25?Please list any new business partners, organizations, or community stakeholders that have been added.
○ We have added a business leader chair for the BAC
○ We partnered with North Central State College, the Crawford Success Center and all school districts in Crawford County to create and implement a senior only industry recognized credentials program taking place at a community hub in Bucyrus, OH. Manufacturers are providing lunch and learns each week, GLCAP ISP through OMA is providing success coaching, and work placements for participating students. Women in Manufacturing will begin providing activities for girls in the final term.
○ We have added new businesses to the BAC.

5. Have you received any media coverage or participated in any case studies as a Business Advisory Council? If so, please share.
○ Yes.
